Gillian has written for several major textile publications including The Quilter, Popular Patchwork, Embroidery, Patchwork & Quilting and Fabrications. She was sub-editor of Popular Patchwork from 2005- 2010, which involved technical checking of each project as well as subbing all the features etc.

She has written a variety of features including design ideas, exhibition reviews, interviews and a beginners guide. For six years, she wrote a monthly column for Popular Patchwork (www.popularpatchwork.com) about life as a quilter entitled Quilters' Corner. Gillian has also created a number of projects ranging from cards and cushion covers to wall hangings.
