Nature course

City & Guilds Certificate or Diploma in Patchwork and Quilting
Taught over seven weekends and a four day summer school for two years, the Certificate gives you an excellent skill set of patchwork and quilting techniques. It also helps you learn how to design quilts, taking into account sound design principles, which work even for those who believe they can’t draw or design themselves.

The Diploma follows on from the Certificate, taught using the same structure of seven weekends and a four day summer school for two years. For the diploma, you pick your own research topic and learn how to turn your interests into designs, making a quilt, a miniature and a 3D item, whilst creating a fabulous set of experimental samples and fabrics. You also study the history of patchwork in this country and examine contemporary patchwork.
